Nearly 25 million victims are currently trapped in modern day slavery. That’s right. Today. It’s an immense problem, one that not enough people are talking about. And unfortunately, one that not enough people are doing enough to address. Worthwhile Wear is doing something about it. The company was created to empower survivors of human trafficking. Through classes, steady employment, and a safe space to call their own, these brave women aren’t just given the support they deserve, but the incredible gift of hope. One of Worthwhile Wear’s biggest annual fundraising events is the ACT Challenge. From May 1st to July 30th, participants are asked to track their miles, whether walking, running, biking, swimming or kayaking and for each mile, ACT sponsors will make a donation. The goal of 30,000 miles by this date will go a long way to providing that precious hope to those who have experienced so much to move forward in their lives.
